In their life, they have some differences which is so significant, such as income, house, transportation, and life style. The first different is about their income. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s income is Rp. 62.4 millions per month, whereas Ahmadinejad never takes his right as the president of Iran. He just takes his income from the salary as a lecture for about 2.4 millions in rupiahs per month. He thinks that all of the riches are the country own, so he just keep it carefully and wisely.
The second is about the place or the house of the presidents. Generally the presidents live in the president’s residence. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono lives in president’s residence which has the width for about 1.5 hectare and has complete facilities, whereas Ahmadinejad chooses his own house for living. It is the only house which he has, and it has the width for about 170 m2.
The third is about transportation. SBY often uses his private car which the worth is Rp. 6-7 billlions, while Ahmadinejad uses his own car, Peogeot 504 made in 1977 which the worth is for about 15-25 millions in rupiahs.
Both of those presidents also have different life style. The first is about pray. We often see SBY always in the first row when he prays together, while Ahmadinejad never decide where his position for praying is. “ The first row is not decided by the position. Remember I am not more than a servant. In front of you today there is a big responsibility and it is to serve Iran, “_(Ahmadinejad in Jhony, 2011). The second is about food. Altough it is simple such as pecel, soto, gado-gado, etc, SBY still uses the money from this country, while Ahmadinejad always bring the food which is made by his wife like a sandwich with zaitun oil an cheesed.
The third is about party. SBY ever held his son wedding luxuriously, while Ahmadinejad ever held his son wedding simply.
We love Indonesia, but a leader have to lead the societies sincerely. President is not only a leader but also a servant for the societies. Probably the president of Iran is not better than our president, but it will be better if our president can imitate what Ahmadinejad did for his societies.
